i see hearts

once i started noticing these hearts on the bark of trees, i began spotting them everywhere. tokyo is this massive metropolis — concrete, high-rises, an infinite everything of all things city. these trees are a breather.

there is something about these hearts being different, unique.

it is not meant to be linear or a template. there is the layered meaning of what a heart can be. and then, simplicity — a heart dedicated to the melody of train stations. a heart for generosity. and one for the egg sandwich from the convenience store.

they can be massive and small. but they are there.
you just need to pay attention, and you will always notice one.

in short, with these tree-made hearts, i found a good excuse to leave heart notes to the city that has been home for so many years.

this site is always a work in progress.
with new notes and hearts every time i come across a new one and a new moment [or memory] of appreciation.
